Method engineering
At 3Point2, engineering and designing the exact way in which something is being done in detail is referred to as method engineering. 3Point2’s clients generally work with several subcontractors who come from different backgrounds, use different types of equipment and have different ways of performing tasks and delivering projects. It is vital that all parties understand exactly what is required and are all on the same page when it comes to delivering projects, and this is where method engineering plays a key role. It encompasses the method and details, such as the way an installation or lifting sequence must be performed or how the transport, loading or unloading of a piece of equipment should be carried out.
Human integration into industrial production processes is key to the success of any EPC project. Our highly skilled engineers use a combination of research, mathematics, design and testing to ensure the various subcontractors and project elements will work together optimally. They are also well equipped to predict unforeseen circumstances and challenges, all with the goal of minimising downtime.

Mechanical and structural design
Mechanical and structural engineering design services offered by 3Point2 encompass feasibility studies (FEED), concept, basic and detailed designs. Our detailed calculations and analysis cover the equipment’s strength, deflection, fatigue, plasticity and crack propagation. We also perform detailed calculations on weld, test weld strength, tackle efficiency, catenaries and bearing applications. Our engineers work with leading 2D and 3D drawing and modelling software from AutoDesk such as Inventor and AutoCAD, simulation integration platform Ansys Workbench, and other in-house software to deliver customised solutions to our clients.
Our teams aim to introduce new concepts and provide fresh approaches to your project challenges. We provide design reports, including shop drawings, method engineering statements and any relevant production documentation, and ensure we achieve class approval by accredited certification bodies such as DNV, ABS, LRS and BV. Class-approved design reports allow clients the flexibility to modify solutions in the future should they wish to do so.

Electrical, hydraulics and control system design
3Point2 aims to ensure operators have total control over their equipment and provides detailed instructions for the best possible results. We think out of the box and believe innovative ideas and a fresh approach allow us to offer high-quality, safe and sensible electrical, hydraulic and control solutions. Our engineers pay attention to detail and work closely and intensively with clients to ensure all potential challenges are accounted for.
When it comes to hydraulics and pneumatics, 3Point2 and its partners can assist with the design, fabrication, testing and installation of an array of products, such as:

Services
Fabrication, assembly and commissioning
Through our sister company Alucor, we can offer clients fabrication, assembly and commissioning services for their EPCI projects, providing a full scope of service from start to finish. With over 100,000 square meters of in-house facilities dedicated to welding, machining, assembly and painting, Alucor is uniquely placed to act as a single source for all equipment manufacturing through its Dubai-based facility.
3Point2 also partners with other European contractors as well as our client’s preferred vendors to offer a full scope of EPCI services.
